Murray (Bubba) J. Hacker, Jr. M.J. (Bubba) Hacker Jr. is a native born San Antonian. He is a graduate of John Marshall High School, and received his bachelors degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

After graduating college in 1982, Bubba worked as a resident claims adjuster for Farmers Insurance Group in both Austin and Waco, Texas. In 1984 Bubba decided to become an insurance agent. He joined BSM Insurance Agency and was sent to a prestigious insurance college in Hartford Connecticut called Aetna Home Office Sales Course.
Bubba joined Village Insurance Agency in 1987. He was originally a partner, but when the agency became a corporation in 1994, he was appointed Vice President by the board of directors. In the year 2000, Bubba was appointed President by the board of directors.

David R. Mauer, Jr., CIC David was born in San Antonio, TX, but spent most of his childhood growing up in the hill country at Lakehills, TX (at Medina Lake). He graduated from Bandera High School (’79) and Texas A&M University (’83). A year prior to graduation, he obtained his insurance license and started working for his father’s insurance agency at the time. He continued working there until the agency merged with Village Insurance in ’93.

David has attained two professional designations, Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and maintains both designations each year with continuing education classes. With over 40 years of experience in the insurance business, there are very few situations he has come across where his combination of education and experience did not allow him to find an insurance solution for his clients. David can help you with personal insurance, business insurance, bonds, life insurance or health insurance.
He is a member of the National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) and also enjoys shooting sporting clay when time allows. He is also a volunteer for the Earthwise Living committee in Leon Valley which promotes environmental education and conservation.
David currently co-owns Village Insurance Agency and lives near Helotes, TX with his wife, Geri Ann, and their dog, Gracie.
Matthew Mueller, CIC

Matthew Mueller, CIC has been with Village Insurance since 2008. He has been a licensed Property and Casualty Agent since 2007, and received his Health and Life License in 2008.
Matt has taken numerous personal and commercial lines certification and education courses and prides himself on his broad depth of insurance knowledge. He can help his clients with all their insurance needs including: Auto, Home, Business, Life & Health Policies. Matt works with his customers to make sure that all of their hard earned assets are protected. He will talk with you to make sure that you are getting the coverage that makes sense for you, not the insurance policy that doesn’t offer you the correct protection. Matt knows there is nothing more frustrating than paying for insurance that you are unable to utilize in the event of an emergency claim situation. He works with small families all the way up to large commercial builders. He is qualified and able to help you with any type of commercial or personal insurance that you need.
Matt also has an extensive client list, composed of bars, restaurants, taverns, and dancehalls. He is specialized in the intricacies of the bar business having worked in bars during his time in college. He is familiar with dealing with TABC, and can write the Conduct Surety Bonds and Gross Sales Tax Bonds required by TABC. He can offer you advice and help walk you through the process of complying with TABC regulation. Matt has completed his Certified Insurance Counselor designation. The requirements for this designation include over 100 classroom hours of study and passing scores on 5 written essay exams. The 5 exams cover ranging topics including: Personal Lines, Commercial Casualty, Commercial Property, Life & Health, and Agency Management. The designation also requires Matt to update his knowledge every year by attending a 3 and a half day course to make sure he is abreast of current trends and updated information regarding the insurance industry.
Matt was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended John Marshall High School before attending the University of Texas at Austin. Matt was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity during his time at UT. He served in numerous officer positions for the fraternity including president from 2006-2007. He also was a manager at the campus recreation center for 3 years. Matt Graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 with a degree in Corporate Communications and a minor in Business. He married his wife Lauren in May of 2012. Matt has four children and he and his family live happily in the Boerne area.

Gene (Marty) Williams Marty has been on the San Antonio insurance scene for 30 years with extensive background in sales, agency ownership and management. In 1981 he joined Gene Williams General Insurance Agency which was founded in 1975 by his father. Concurrent with his entry into the business, father Gene Williams was tragically and untimely felled by cancer; leaving the firm to remaining family. All agreed to "regroup", assess, and decide the fate of the enterprise while putting the needs of agency clients first. Marty often cites, "When we came up for air it was 5 years later."

He was appointed President of Gene Williams General Insurance Agency 1992 and led the firm to an eminent position for 14 years. He earned the prestigious Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1995 and was elected to the Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio that same year. During his 5 tenure on the Board of IIASA, he headed an intense, homegrown media campaign for the association and it's members. Marty became a regular voice on local radio and appeared regularly on TV news; focusing on insurance needs, solutions and promoting the value of independent agents.
In 2006, he elected to liquidate his interest in the family insurance agency prior to it's merger with another concern. Shortly afterwards, Marty joined long time friends Bubba Hacker and David Mauer as a contracted Associate at Village Insurance Agency. He comments, "Our shared values, goals and friendship produced a natural connection." Marty's focus these days is weighted in the direction of Commercial and Business insurance as it relates to developing new client relationships while continuing to provide superior service and insurance counsel to his established clients.

Richard Meneses Richard's insurance career began in 1977 at United Services Automobile Association, San Antonio, TX. He retired from USAA with 30 years of service. After his retirement, Richard took his insurance experience to the independent insurance agency environment. He recently joined Village Insurance Agency and continues his focus on knowing his customers, understanding their individual needs, and providing the appropriate policy solutions.

Richard's education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio, TX, and a Masters Degree in Business Marketing from The University of Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TX. He maintains his Texas Property and Casualty insurance agent's license and continues to take insurance-related courses.
Richard is involved in his community. He volunteered many years to the San Antonio Junior Achievement Program, through the USAA Volunteer Program, where he brought his corporate and business experience to middle and high school students.
He served in several committees for the North Side Independent School District that involved school bonds and school boundary changes.
Richard finds time to enjoy his life-long passion of playing his drums. He volunteers as the drummer for St. Peter's Catholic Church LifeTeen Band, Boerne TX. He also plays for The Vinyl Tones, a classic variety dance-band that he helped to organize. And more importantly, Richard and his wife, Patsy, enjoy traveling in their Suburban from the Texas beaches to the western mountains and casinos!

Jana Carpenter, ACSR Jana Carpenter has the distinction of being one of the first employees hired by the agency and is still with the company today. Her career with Village Insurance started in 1988. She received her Texas Insurance Agents License in 1989 and her Accredited Customer Service Representative certification in 2001.
